7th Annual Emily’s Hopeful Holiday Info on How YOU or YOUR BUSINESS can help!

It is time – EHH2013!

Hello friends!  I am beginning to work on this year’s 7^th Annual Emily’s Hopeful Holiday!  Can you believe….our 7^th year???   Last year’s grand total, was $16,209.84!  Making our grand total raised over $78,000 since 2007!  Wouldn’t it be awesome to hit $100,000 this year???!!!   We can do it…with YOUR help!

We could not do this without the help from our many generous supporters over the past six years.   As a reminder, 100% of the money we raise goes directly into our fund at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.  This money assists families who have children with cancer by helping them pay their bills: mortgage, rent, utilities, car repairs to get to and from appointments, gas, and whatever else a family is in need of but cannot afford so that they can care for their sick child…that’s where we kick in!  Every penny you donate, goes DIRECTLY to families who have kids with cancer.

I will once again be doing the Sponsor Booklet where ads of various sizes can be purchased from $50 to $250; and front & back cover sponsorships are available for $300.  The booklets are handed out at the Event in November to all guests and is great exposure for your business as well as supporting a wonderful cause.

I would once again like to purchase an Apple MacBook as our big raffle item.  Last year, I posted a request for donations for this item on facebook, and received $1000 in three days by some wonderful and generous supporters.  I am once again asking for 10 $100 donations to apply toward the Apple Macbook as this raffle was so successful last year.   Please inbox me if you are interested.

Also, last year we had a record 63 raffle items!  YAY!  I could not do this without the help of all my friends, family and support from the community.  If you or your business would like to donate to our raffle, please inbox me with your commitment.  I’d like to start receiving raffle items by the end of August.

Lastly, if anyone is interested in assisting me with soliciting donations (either ads or raffle items), work for a company looking to donate to a wonderful cause, have wonderful and generous contacts that may be in interested in supporting EHH that you would be willing to share with me or send them information about us for support, please let me know.  This event has grown every year…and I’d like it to continue to do so….but I need YOUR help to keep it going.   I am amazed at the amount of new friends I meet every year, simply by them finding out about EHH via my facebook page or through other friends and wanting to help in some way and be a part of EHH.  We are blessed! Thank you so much for all your support.

EHH2012 GRAND TOTAL…..

UPDATE:  EHH2012′s grand total, was $16,209.84!  Making our grand total raised over $78,000 since 2007!

 

I am VERY HAPPY to announce Emily’s Hopeful Holiday – Childhood Cancer Family Financial Relief Fund Grand Total for EHH2012: $16,114.84! WAY more than I expected this year! This money was raised from the Sponsor/Coupon Booklet for all you generous businesses who donate to EHH through that; the Event in November — thank you to ALL who came and supported us at our event and everyone who donated to our raffles; a very generous donation from the ladies at Alabaster Jar Ministries; and our newest donor PartnerShip LLC for their very generous donation! Thank you Shannon Dario for telling your company about EHH and thank you PartnerShip LLC for your amazing response to support us. Thank you to EVERYONE who supported EHH2012. This money will continue to help so many families who have kids with cancer at Rainbow! EHH Event Total: $7930!

The total from yesterday’s four hour EHH event……drum roll please….$7930! Not bad for four hours. In addition to that, I have many more checks, donations, pre-sales, etc. to figure out. I also made $3500 on our sponsor booklet that was handed out at the event last night. Looks like it was a great year for families at Rainbow! I will post the final total once I have it all figured out. Thank you to everyone who supports Emily’s Hopeful Holiday – Childhood Cancer Family Financial…! The 50/50 winner, Don Collier from Lorain, won our biggest ever 50/50 pot….$673.50 and he donated $100 back to EHH. Ziggy’s dining percentage to us was $577 and by Kohl’s sending employees to volunteer, we receive a grant for $500 from the Kohl’s Cares Program. For those of you wonderful people who donated so I can purchase the Apple Computer, YOU helped raise $1440 just on that! For those of you who donated to the WINE basket, you helped raise $435! To those of you who donated to all the other raffles and general raffle, you helped raise OVER $4,000. I can’t thank you all enough…supporters, donors, sponsors, and volunteers! YOU are awesome!!!

Limited Free Tickets for canned goods

Great questions being asked….please note that you will receive 4 free tickets for every three canned goods, but there will be a maximum of 12 free tickets per family.  I don’t want this to discourage you from bringing in more canned goods for Second Harvest Food Bank, but I have to put some sort of limit on the free tickets.  Thanks for understanding.  Let others know.
